GIAC tuned Champion Porsche 997.2 Turbo S PDK runs 10.3@133 on stock turbos setting a new stock turbo record
Wow, WOW! 10.3@133 on stock turbos? Yep, that just happpened. Congratulations to GIAC who was able to help set the new 997 Turbo stock turbocharger 1/4 mile record with this Porsche 997.2 Turbo S with has the PDK transmission. And this was done in Florida at Palm Beach International Raceway which is not the quickest track due to the humid Florida weather. Conditions were not ideal but not poor either with DA falling at 6 pm putting the density altitude for these runs from ~835 - ~600 feet above sea level.
Modifications to the car include the GIAC tune, Champion Motorsport intercoolers, Werks1 airbox, Turbi race exhaust, and IPD plenum. Keep in mind this was also done on street tires. Better weather and some stickier rubber and could a high 9 second run be hit with a stock turbo 997.2 Turbo S? Sure looks within the realm of possibility.
Congratulations to GIAC and Champion Motorsport, slip of the three runs and a video below.
