    Possible 8.99 from the CTS-V coming?

    So this year there are going to be quite a few what I would call "Super Vs" running around the country....4 of which stand out in my mind


    Junkie:
    lythsom 2.3 with built motor and nitrous

    Manny:
    alleged 4.L Whipple and built motor and nitrous

    Rabbit:
    built motor and 2.3 eaton with nitrous

    Red Baron:
    built motor F1X procharged with nitrous


    right now as it stands the record is 9.44 but Red Baron is confident he will come in at 8.99 when its done...which is one hell of a task but i wouldnt put it past any of these guys....they make my V look like it was stock....lol...at least for now Click here to enlarge

    Was Red Baron running the Procharger F1X when he set the 9.44?? And it's an interesting choice to go with that blower -- I know the F1X has incredible power potential, but a centrifugal s/c isn't going to ramp up the power as quickly as the Whipple/Roots blowers.

    It's definitely going to get there, no doubt about it.

    My choice would personally be 4.0 liter whipple.... what a big as blower.

    The built motor F1X with nitrous though will likely be the fastest of the bunch though. That's a nasty blower.

    doesn't hennessy build a 1066whp twin turbo cts-v? its got the 6mt though so it may not be as quick as the supercharged AT cars

    Lag problems with the turbos?? Guessing they might be oversized to create that kind of power and I don't see Hennessy using NOS to increase turbo spool.
