    Chevy Volt Priced at $41,000

OR a 3 year lease is $350. The Lease sounds like the way better deal.

Government deals and rebates should drop the price another 7k or so. The thing, the government discount is subtracted out of your taxes so you still have to buy the car for the list price.

Not exactly the competitive pricing one was hoping for but the lease is where it is at on this thing. So, if you are into boring hybrid cars, your dream is here:

Lease is actually a very good deal. It comes loaded with a lot of options.

A lot better looking than the hideous Nissan Leaf.

Early adopter pricing, as tech advances prices will go down. Good for an American car company to build an advanced car like this.

In 50 years my grandkids are gonna "bolt on lithium packs" instead of "superchargers". Electric cars are coming and no one can stop it.

I have nothing against electric sportscars, 1000 lb-ft of torque at ZERO RPM is not bad, not bad at all.

I just kinda don't like fagg0t eco boxes...

When we start getting some serious electric sports cars they will be cool.

You can modify electrics to do some cool things. It is just a matter of energy storage holding it back.

Much more efficient too. The tesla only has like 300 hp i think and goes zero to 60 in like 3.9 seconds. Just goes to show that power isnt everything, its where the power is made and how its put to the ground = more important.

Haha! For a daily, I love it. Don't have to warm it up, don't have to worry about California's crappy 91 octane cause it actually gets better MPG with 87 octane. Don't ave to worry about speed bumps, f'd up roads, crazy driveways. Don't have to worry about tickets. Just get in, drive, and that's it.

Plus, I get 45mpg, which is like free gas when compared to the M3 lol

I'll take a 1/3 the mpg (I do) and have something with at least some balls that has some fun factor.

I can understand the daily appeal, that is what they are for, but I need something I enjoy getting behind the wheel of.

    +1,

Gas is indeed becoming expensive, but when it hits 5 bucks a gallon then I will consider getting a more efficient car. I just can't drive a boring car, I just; can't. It's like having secks with a crappy lover, they might look good on the outside but are loose and slow on the inside. Nahmean?

Watch out for that gass pedal!

I know where you are coming from and understand, but....

Driving in the Valley during the day, there is no place to use any sort of horsepower, so it's pointless. I drive the Hybrid to work, around town and jump in the M3 at night when I am able to actually enjoy it

Trust me, I understand. I spend most of my time sitting in traffic but for that 1% of the time I need the power it is oh so satisfying when it is there. Not like you need 600 whp all the time either Click here to enlarge
