    Just also a point. Alot of people ask why we have so many pulleys.

    So there is a new crank pulley, alternator pulley and water pump pulley. We change these so that we can move to an 8 Rib belt system.

    We can stick with a 6 rib belt system and save quite alot of money (you all know what just 1 replacement under driven pulley costs) however the 8 rib belt setup allows for maximum belt traction which has many benefits which may not show up on the most common proving ground - the dyno. Instant throttle application gives that extra belt traction and therefore instant power delivery as well as a longer lasting belt.

    Feel free to ask any questions about the kit and why parts were developed the way they were.

    Things like this are why I hold Evolve in such high regard.

    Only the ones who appreciate the engineering will want this one.
    Lostmarine sees the engineering!

    Sticky - cog systems increase noise quite some bit and with harsh RPM limiters break the impeller shafts on superchargers.

    When we did the Vortech V3Si with our setup we also used an 8 Rib belt system. Spoke to Vortech at SEMA in 2011 and they INSISTED on it with this application. Same as on their website.

    It's released.

    From the initial response, looks like more european customers want this kit. All but one of the first 10 have been sold in Europe who are just waiting for delivery.

    Absolute zero slip issues.

    However, with an 8 rib setup... belt slip is absolutely minimal anyway.

    ok,

    some interesting questions coming through from some people.

    Can we use a charge cooler instead in our plenum?

    Answer - yes we can, very easy. All we need to do is make a new base plate for the plenum which is deeper so we can house a core in there. It would be of a very large size so quite effective.

    Why haven't we done it?

    Answer - the front bumper has to come off on ANY charge cooled setup anyway. For our intercooler you only have to move the front panel forward to place it in it;'s position and that is only an extra hours worth of work.
    So.... it's done and designed the way it is and I am sure you will see the benefits of an excellent recovery rate from an FMIC. It is not at all difficult to fit over what may seem like an easier fitting solution on the charge cooler.

    As far as cog setups go, it's application dependent....typically they're high maintenance and since the S65 delivers some serious high rpm fluctuations, I'd say an 8-rib is certainly the most hassle free street/strip option properly tensioned. Engineering something successful is a lofty task of balancing between extremes. Spitting teeth of cog belts and chewing up input shafts will ruin anyone's day,cogs seem better paired to things that exhibit short run times or share no other accessories...half of any top fuel car's blower drive(along with thousands of dollars in whatever else) goes into the trash can after every pass, same goes with alcohol funny cars. They don't even bother with risking spitting a belt...very nice looking kit evolve.

    why all the hate for ess kits? I have a vt 625 kit on the way and i've only read great things about them.
