    cant believe they used the same 6.2 as in the cts-v... the one without the titanium internal bits. what a hp drop from the zr1's numbers on the same engine. they think 600 some hp was too much?

    thats a great question. im not really sure tbh. with enough money you can do anything, and ripping apart the engine to change the internals isnt a cake walk. it would probably be more cost-effective to go custom elsewhere.

    It was more of a function of protecting the ZR-1 I think. CTS-V's are holding at big power levels. Argument could be made having one set of rods and pistons for all of them would be cheaper.

    Of course, but if you are going inside the motor might as well do better than the ZR-1 internals.
