Tranny showed up today!!!!!! It'll be in tomorrow, then tuning will begin. I'm hoping to pick her up Thursday. We'll have to settle for virtual dynos that the tuning software produces for now. I'm planning a trip to Atlanta to either TopSpeed Motorsports or Forged Performance for some dyno pulls, hopefully sometime in February depending on my work schedule.

Hoping this is the final update before numbers are posted. I came across an FP HTA3582r that I couldn't pass up so the car is getting the regular Garrett DBB GT3582r swapped out with the HTA right now. I have a base map from English Racing currently. Once the turbo is swapped, the Etuning with English Racing will begin. So close I can taste it now!

HTA is billet. It'll spool at leat 300rpm faster and provide 10% more flow across the board. So a faster spooling, more air, more HP turbo in the same exact Garrett housings. Can't beat it!

This project sounds like it was filled with nothing but headaches.... Good news, you still might be able to get back on the list for those Vargas Stage 2s

Hope you rip on it for at least a little while before passing the keys onto a new owner

My luck the first time I take it down the track I break something else and it'll cost me $k more to fix it. Once the tune is finished, I'm going out of town so it'll be sitting in the garage for sale, brand new, waiting for its new owner.

It's already listed FS. If someone wants an EVO built right, this is it. Obviously hasn't eve seen the track yet, it's still snowing here. Less than 100 miles on the rebuild.

It launches like a rocket. It's insane. I'm trying to get the 60-130 down to 1 shift. Once I do hopefully someone will let me borrow a vbox for a couple days to get some times. Then it'll be 1/4 mi time Click here to enlarge

Seems like I have hit yet another speed bump. While turning the boost up we are running out of fuel. Could be a number of reasons I guess, although I have no idea what it is. Car leans out bad during high boost pulls. Runs like a champ and fuel is ok at 20psi but when at 30psi it leans out. Since this is not a BMW i can't log fuel pressure. Here is what i know. I have the Wally 455lph e85 pump, -6an fuel feed lines, stock return lines, fuel rail, 2000cc injectors and an aeromotive FPR. At idle the FPR was showing 60psi so i tried to lower it closer to 50. When i go below 60 the gauge just bounces between 50 and 60. I'm not sure if this is causing my lean condition but it could i guess. If the base FP is too high, when boost climbs the fuel pump may be unable to keep up with the required fuel pressure. I guess it could also be a bad FPR. i'm thinking that since the return line is 5/16th stock line, the pump may be overrunnig the return line and i'm unable to get the base FP low enough to support the 70-80 PSI i need at 30psi of boost. IDK. i'm very frustrated. who knows, it may have nothing to do with FPR at all and i may need a new WB O2 sensor. no way to tell. i'm leaving town for a little while and the car is going to the body shop to get the dent fixed from the hit and run. i know that i'm growing really tired of this damn car and just want it running right. i'll just have to wait till i get back to keep working on it i guess.
