    AMS 997.1 911 Turbo dynojet dyno tune results 93 octane pump gas - 500 wheel horsepower

    This is my previous car that I shared about on another forum that banned me, but thought it was good info looking into tuning a 911 turbo.
    Car info: 2007 manual 997.1 turbo with 43,000 miles on Shell 93 octane. First the numbers, all these figures are with sports mode on and my
    Europipe. Note that the filters were not included in these numbers (see below)

    The following is the deltas for awhp between stock and tuned based on my eyeball of the dyno sheet.

    3500 rpms - 105 awhp delta
    4000 rpms - 115 awhp delta
    4500 rpms - 125 awhp delta
    5000 rpms - 115 awhp delta
    5500 rpms - 80 awhp delta
    6000 rpms - 60 awhp delta

    Based on that, you can really see that these turbos get winded up top when maxed out. Hence the next level is upgraded turbos to go the next 100 - 150hp (assuming you go with vgt).

    Also, I expect that tq to make quick work of my stock clutch.

    Driving, it’s obviously more of a rocket now. The power in the mid range rips the car in every gear. The added power feels no difference. In my 08 335i, when I modified it for an additional 50% more power, I could feel the engine working to make that extra power. The m64 feels exactly the same with power rolling through the power train as smooth as stock.

    It’s grossly fast and I think I might have met my need for speed. Anything with more power would just continue to be limited by traction and only increase accelerations in higher gears which translates into speeds I just dont use on the street.

    The cars behaves exactly at stock but with more power. I only run in spots mode now to get the full 17 psi. While stock, the car was very
    sensitive to inputs at lower speeds in sports mode causing me not to use it while I had passengers to keep the ride smoother. Now, the car is very civilized and easy to modulate in first gear. Could be in my head, but I feel like they have refined that input.

    That's badass. With just a tune you're at 500whp and over 600wtq!! That must break necks with the traction you have.

    That was with a tune and an exhaust. And unlike most cars, the exhaust is the first mod you have to get on a 911 turbo. Its shocking how underwhelming it sounds in the stock form and how amazing it is with a europipe exhaust.

    I got a ride in this thing and man it was fast! Off the line with traction it was just insane instead where I would just smoke my tires his just rocketed off. Crazy

    Yea, she was able to kick you in the pants down low, but the top end power is similar to a high powered e85 n54.

    PS, this is a continued review of this post if anyone is interested in my comparison of the 335i and the 911.

    Why does the graph appear choppy though especially up top? Not the first Porsche I have seen like this.

    Agreed. I think we found that out a little bit from experience. I think going back to the is was not a horrible idea considering warranty and however e85 has helped our cars. I'm just jealous of white/black though I love my blue.

    Smoothing is only a 3 and possible due to 4 wheels ripping at the drops causing a little oscilation?

    Love the IS and after I go stage 2+e85 I know the power difference between the two will be so small I wouldnt be able to tell by my butt dyno.

    And having a new car with 3k miles is better than the 911 approaching 50k. Talk about stress if I popped that engine.

    Even with more smoothing those oscillations won't clear up all that much much. Not sure if it's the wheels on the dyno. Like I said, I saw another graph like this I think form Fabspeed and it had something to do with the Porsche stock tune not 100% sure.
