APR demonstrates their B8 RS5 software results on the dragstrip with a stock car on pump gas before and after the tune
The APR Audi RS5 software is pretty mild offering only 9 horsepower at the wheels with 93 octane pump gas. That really isn't much but this is not an easy motor to squeeze power out of in naturally aspirated form especially when it is sending power to all four wheels through a dual clutch trans. That said APR was able to take the car and with software only go from a baseline of firstname.lastname@example.org to email@example.com.
The results follow the old drag racing rule of thumb that for every 10 horsepower gained you gain a tenth in ET and a mile per hour of trap speed. So, the APR software definitely makes a difference. It's a minor improvement but it definitely is the real deal and worth looking into for RS5 owners who want more power. Gains are shown in 0-60, 0-100, 60 foot, ET, and trap speed. This is the best option available until forced induction gets here, likely also from APR.
