9.6@145 isn't bad, I mean it's definitely fast. But for this being the fastest V with an LSX under the hood I'm not blown away or anything.

Needs to spray to hit 8's with that motor? He could do 8's with turbos easily I would think.

I'm impressed just not impressed this is the fastest CTS-V especially with a prepped race block...

With a whipple it certainly makes sense. It's fast, don't get me wrong.

Thats plenty fast for a ass heavy Caddy with no spray on pump gas... Are there any M3's doing that kind of trap speed? The RHS block is a great block that can hold loads of power easily 1500hp.

There are BMW's doing far more than that with much less displacement not that this is a comparison thread but thanks.

For a heavy car with an aftermarket block... I guess ya that's plenty fast.

Far more HP or trap speed?

In any case I dont see many comparable sedans or coupes matching the power or speed regardless of brand/price point. Thats rarified power not many Euro or Asian brands can even sniff that kind of power or tq much less the trap speed in their luxury vehicles.

That's difference with the Euro & Asian platforms in general... There are few if any options for stronger blocks to support monster power/driveability. The V's have the advantage of the proven LS block and all its options it's almost not fair. Good vid

What are you talking about? GT500? Z06? GT500 really being a better value but that's beside the point.

Yep. You pretty much have to sleeve. Ultimately for power potential anything with an LS block will always win that's why I expected more.

This would be so much fun in the wagon ! Good vid.

I thought mid to low 10's was nuts for this car when I saw it. Over 2 ton family sedan running 9.6 is bananas.

Alright work in progress it's fine. Other LS motors have just set the bar pretty high.

honestly i dont think youll ever be swayed to believe the V is impressive with the mods available to it....there arent many production GM cars in that weight category doing those kind of times and driving off as a fully streetable car

Sticky is so unreasonable when it come to what he does and does not like!, if an e9x m3 went 9 anything as a street car he would think its a huge deal, but just because he doesnt like the v or a gtr he some how minimizes there accomplishments!! A 4000lb+ car ran mid 9's full weight, that is god damn incredible!!!

Sticky the gt500 & z06 are 2 door sports cars, this is a mid-full size sedan that flies!!!

What are you talking about? I like the car. I'm very aware of what the GT500 and Z06 are we were talking value.

Sure, it's fast like I said I just expect more out of a car with an aftermarket block and that big V8 especially based on what the others have done. This is fast, I'm just surprised this is the fastest.

i agree....ANY 4000+ sedan going mid 9s is impressive honestly....when the f10 M5 or CLS AMG cars go 9s that will be VERY impressive....and when the S65...if it ever does...go 9s i will absolutely consider it impressive....tho the owner will have spent enough to probably buy TWO cts-vs...lol
