    Active Autowerke E92/E9X M3 S65 Supercharger Official Release - 524 whp

    From Omar@ActiveAutowerke:

Active Autowerke is proud to announce the release of the highly anticipated Active Autowerke Supercharger System for the BMW E9X M3.

The advanced design and sleek features of the Active Autowerke Supercharger System include a front mount air-to-air intercooler system with a separate oil cooler for the supercharger unit's independent oil system. The Active Autowerke Supercharger Plenum replaces the factory air box and is designed to have an OEM-type look with custom finishes available at the customer's request. The Active Autowerke Supercharger Plenum has been designed with eight high-flow velocity stacks, and large three inch intercooler piping to supply cooled air.

The custom Active Autowerke Filter mounts to the supercharger unit and is enclosed in a custom intake box engineered to incorporate factory design while forcing cool air to the air box. The optional methanol injection system assists in lowering intake air temperatures and prevents detonation.

The Active Autowerke Supercharger System is powered by an HKS GTS8550 Supercharger Unit mounted with a custom CNC'ed bracket that uses a dedicated drive belt system, while eight high flow fuel injectors are used to supply the additional required fuel. Active Autowerke’s Performance Software, available for 91-93 octane, race gas, and octane levels unique to other countries, is carefully calibrated, and is at the heart of the system to provide an unparalleled driving experience. Keeping within the factory's OBDII parameters, the Active Autowerke Supercharger System ensures consistency for everyday driving.

Price is $15,500 and this is the Stage 2 or Stage 2+ system which implies a more affordable Stage 1 system will also shortly be available.

Who VF? They released their kit. My friend has it on his E90 and there are a couple of other cars running their system. I got a chance to take a ride in his car last week. The car pulled hard with all four of us in it. Hopefully no issues like they had with the E46s.

Yes, exactly. It is released? I thought they were still testing.

I saw it at their booth at Bimmerfest and my friend has it on his E90. So I'm guessing its either released or its final stages. I'll ask him next time I see him.

Very nice! Love the mani, it's pretty freakin nice! Love that it comes with a 8 rib belt system and colder spark plugs are included in the kit. I am a fan of air to air, so that is also a plus. Dyno looks great, solid AFR graph and you know AA is usually a bit conservative with their power number.

The only thing I don't like are the BOV's if they are the same ones as they used on their s54 kit as they were too small for the job and created a shift lag. Maybe it was the position of them on the s54 kit or maybe 2 of them work much better; we will see...

Why a fan of Air to Air? Because FMIC's look cool?

Are these the same BOV's used on the S54 kit?

They do look cool, which is a plus, but imo they cool better.

They cool better than water-air you are saying? Why is that?

You mean they couldn't hit 600whp like ESS what a weak kit...

LOL J/K the kit looks nice much better then the Proto I can't wait to see some times from these kits soon. That dyno is VERY realistic props to AA I was never a big fan of their products before but I'll give this the benefit of the doubt.

Well the explanation I got from an EX Porsche motorsport engineer is that Liquid to air is good for a while but once the liquid heats up and you cant cool it off fast enough then the IC becomes useless but Air to Air can cool much faster and would be more consistent. Dunno how to argue with that but I have no reason not believe this But I'm sure there is more to it then that also. Like IC efficiency yada yada.

Beautiful kit. Interesting that it has one bypass valve and one BOV, maybe they found it was more efficient than having both vent to atmosphere or both bypass?
