Yeah I do too, but holy sh*t, if FORD had only put a bit more effort into the interior quality I'd buy one of these...Maybe with nearly 700 HP on tap the interior isn't even worth $#@!ing about.

They can have me sit on top of the motor for all I care with that much HP for 55k.

You can make much more power than that for much less than 55K. Click here to enlarge

It's about the car as a whole really. That's the only thing that sucks about them.

Positive displacement supercharged V8 with 662 hp in a brand new car for under 60k... it's retarded.

That's the more exciting part. DOHC, 5.8L, Plasma Lined bores, Ford is mod friendly and relable, easy to service, great aftermarket. Click here to enlarge

It's still nice to have a new car, even if the interior is kind of stupid feeling.

What about when people start upgrading the blower... or worse yet, taking it off and adding turbos. Or even worse, leaving it on and adding turbos!

Yes there is no doubt that you can, but what makes this car appealing to me is that you can get your 600+HP all wrapped up in a multi year factory warranty and have some peace of mind to go with all this performance. And not that 55K isn't a lot of money, but it really seems like a bargain for this much performance in today's car market.

I've been in a newer one, and driven a 2011 GT 5.0 with the 3.73 diff.... it just doesn't feel as connected as something like the 1M. And I'm not even saying it's a bad car. The doors feel high, and the design kind of makes you feel blocked out from the world... and in my opinion the gauges and wheel look retarded. The wheel is easy to change though. Decent audio system.

I actually have a dealership considering a trade.... I just don't want to ditch my 1M and then miss it... which I have a feeling that will happen.

I'm gonna see a 1M with a FullRace twin-scroll and GTX3582 making a real 650whp with fueling upgrades.... and regret it.

And then I floor the instant 800ft-lbs of torque I have with my 3.1L twin-screw blower and upgraded port injectors on e85 and remorse disappears....

It looks much better in a picture than in person. Having sat in several new Stangs (though not a GT 500), the tach and speedo look really cheap, really retro, and they just don't seem to "fit" with the rest of the interior. Flame away, but I atually liked the interior of my '87 GT better than the current one. One man's opinion of course.

Owning a couple BMW's over the years have spoiled me as far as interiors are concerned. Again, my opinion only, but you sit in a BMW, Benz, or an Audi/VW and the interiors just plain impress you. But obviously there is a price point here, and nothing from the German world will give you this level of performance for 55K.

This is true, although it will put up good numbers the way it goes about them does not feel as connected or planted as a BMW. That is what BMW simply does better than Ford.

This thing is amazing for the price - but things like this would worry me a bit: One slightly odd detail: due to the massive cooling (and consequent air flow) requirements, the 2013 GT500 won't have a grille--there's just a big, open rectangle where it would normally be. It looks like that detail will make it through to production, though we're curious to see how Ford handles the matter.

Think hard about it, with a "relatively" small to a modest amount of money invested, you could have what, a 700, 800, 1000WHP monster if you built this thing. The potential is unbelievable.

True, but what fun is there in having something everyone else can have? I'll stick with my monster for more money that nobody else is going to have.

This is true, and if a cetain level of exclusivity along with big performance is your goal, then working toward getting your M back on the road is a better option for someone like you. I don't see many GT500's on the road where I'm at so it wouldn't be a big consideration for me.

In SoCal a Mustang is nothing special. An M3 really is just decent.

I need to get a damn SLS or something along those lines.
