The Audi R8 5.2 liter V10 is detuned from the factory compared to its Lamborghini Gallardo counterpart despite having an identical motor. This is to protect the Gallardo image but R8 V10 owners have nothing to sweat as this just means they have room to tune. The GIAC software will bump a 6 speed manual R8 up from a baseline of 474 to the wheels (with a GMG racing exhaust) on a Mustang dyno to 506. Gains of 32 horsepower at all four wheels on 91 octane, not too shabby.

A handheld map switcher is available with 91, 93, and 100 octane modes as well as a valet mode.
