Jay Leno's Garage: 1991 GMC Syclone

Pretty sick truck for its day. I remember wanting one of these things back in the day.

Syclones are sick, I have always wanted one.

    AWD and turbo? Yes please.

Truck was ahead of its time.

WAY ahead of it's time - remember reading the article in one of the mags "to launch, fully depress brake, raise rpms to 4000 until the car starts to SHAKE....take foot off the gas". . .I fell instantly in love....Click here to enlarge

The problem is the looks aren't that great.

Anyone know of any sick looking modded Syclone's?

I know it is more about kicking ass in a truck more than anything else though.

Would be so much fun to smoke modern cars in it though.

A truck that would have the same acceleration as a 458 Italia would be badass.

That is asking a lot but they could do it. How about just a decent sport truck? The Syclone is better than anything they have done in that segment since.

Asking for alot indeed! Reason I say it is because back then the cyclone was up to par (acceleration)with a Ferrari.

I think they look decent even for today, like the body kit parts and effects... looks just mean.

When I was a young kid (guess 9 or so) my father went to go test drive some GMC cars. They had the Tyhpoon there and he didn't know what it was. Just was kind of funny to see his expression, the acceleration down low was pretty hard especially for back then.
