    Ford Raptor 6.2 Dyno Numbers

    Very impressive truck:

Although it is also very, very heavy, over 6,000 pounds

It really isn't about straightline speed or a SVT lightning replacement.

In the quarter-mile, we hit 89.04 mph in 15.86 seconds.

Hmmm.... it would be interesting in the mustang but with the 5.0 and blown 5.4 not any particular need for it.

Same here... but nothing exactly wrong with the old one. Plus, they are cheap now.

true.. was contemplating buying a high mileage and completely rebuilding with JLP motor and a whipple s/c.. I want ford to come out with something though.. its been 6 years.. i like the raptor but not much market for a badass 4x4.. the "lightning bolt" was lightning motor in a ford ranger, that would be SICK!

I have been contemplating a lightning too lately, I have an SC Nissan frontier and it sucks. I don't really do anything with it so if I am going to have a truck it may as well be a lightning.

They did the new lightning concept which was stunning but did not produce it:

I think JLP even is selling a 1000 hp bottom end right now for like $2300 bucks... that plus a whipple, insane. Just don't ever know how someone could get traction.
