As much as I would like to own and toy with one, I don't see that day happening =/

Unless you're a gearhead, you probably don't know what a Supra is capable of. You average Joe would just see a late-model Toyota. Kind of like my C63. Only those in the know will know the difference btwn a C63 and a C300.

In that sense, it's a sleeper.

Lol I actually have experienced this firsthand. Some guy in a cayman S with a big wing was cruising on the highway and my friend in the passenger seat kept egging me on to mess with him so I looked over, gave him the BOV, and he looked over and started laughing. He downshifted and I followed suit but reeled him in real quick. It was a dumb kill but funny how the guy thought he had me.

No dude, it's not. Everybody knows what a Supra is and what it's capable of. Even my redneck wannabe friend who hates imports and drives nothing but Broncos knows what a Supra is and what it can do.

Now if that car was all beat to $#@! and was dragging it's muffler down the road with sparks nearly starting a flame, then yeah it would be a sleeper...but just.

The post directly above yours speaks to my point. Obviously, anybody active on a car forum is going to know what a Supra is capable of...maybe everyone in your social circle knows what a Supra can do but I can assure you, your average Joe does not...hence the Cayman driver above. Chances are that your redneck wannabe friends would know what a Supra is capable of before they could tell you anything about high-end European cars and tuners - that's just a cultural thing.

Not every driver on the road grew up on Gran Turismo, Fast and Furious and Streetfire racing videos.

I've experienced this much in my own car from drivers on the road that are not gearheads and do not know what MB AMG or BMW M stands for...so saying "everybody knows what a Supra is and what it's capable of..." is not an accurate statement because the fact is that many obviously do not.

anyway, after i'm done with school and have more time and money i'd love to get a GT35R. quick spool and 550whp would be an awesome street/autocross car then once i'm done with that i'll probably go the typical 800-900whp route and have dumb lag with no properly usable power BUT it would be so much damn fun.....later down the line though.
800-900whp with lag will not make for a fun street car, and depending on where you live you will rarely get the chance to enjoy it. I would say go with the hta3586r, or a gt40r. Nice car.

    Yes sir!

Just an update since my last post here. I did an FMIC, lowered the car, and traded wheels again.

    Looks BEAUTIFUL.

Keep that color, that deep green is so nice.

    Wheels are nice.

I do have a question, in the beginning of the thread you said you dynod at 11 psi and then turned up the boost to 18 psi. How were you able to do that on a stock motor with no tune? Is the stock ecu able to adapt to that much variation in boost?
Some people live long, meaningful lives.

Other people eat shit and die.

I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.

Thank you! I love the color, it's also 1 of 14 TT 6-speeds in the country so I will never change the color of the car (I do want to repaint the whole car but with the same color)

The stock ECU is able to compensate for pretty much anything the stock turbos can do. A friend of mine actually disconnected his wastegate completely to run at the drag strip. Obviously it's better to get a tune but you can basically do whatever you want with stock turbos and be completely safe.

Stock wheels? I don't mind them but I feel like aftermarket wheels set these cars off so much better. Thank you though!
