    • N54 hybrid E90 335 vs. bolt on C6 Z06 vs. Buell 1125CR

C6 Z06's are tough to take down, no doubt about it. This is a bolt on example and of course the Chevy fanboys would love for us to point out that the LS7 really wakes up with a big cam and some headwork. That is true.

It is also true the N54 gets a lot stronger with a hybrid turbo upgrade. The upgrade is not named but we leave it up to those in the comments to share the details. The N54 is stated to be full bolt on but what fuel it is running is omitted.

The bike is a Buell 1125CR with unknown mods. It really doesn't matter as it just keeps doing wheelies instead of keeping up with the other two. When the bike does actually put the power down, it pulls on a couple runs.

Overall the N54 is the quicker car. A very solid 335i sedan here.

I hear it is a Pure Stage 2 but I don't know the fuel system setup.

hes going to need to be very close to 700 whp to keep up with an HCI c6z. I doubt it. Unless the c6z has a crappy tune.

Depends on the Cam and fuel, which he is very vague with. Ive seen C6Z's make 550whp and Ive seen them make 600whp with HCI.

        +1

I have beat a couple modded c6 z06s around 550whp, and i got walked very badly by one that made just over 600whp. cam size, tune, and driver mod play a big role in those cars.

The car is not but the tuner is from SoCal. The tuner has a Pure stage 2 N54 and he's currently doing the DCT swap. His car will be running soon with close to 700rw. Jason was tuning a bunch of local cars and getting them to run so strong that word got around and now he is known as pure_evil_tuning.

Car made 576/538 on 24.7 psi on his initial dyno and had a slight rear tire wobble on one tire. That's been fixed since the dyno and the car has seen as high as 28psi.

Ive seen video of the z06 and I'll say it does looks stock. But it doesn't run like a stock z06 and people that know the car say it's been tampered with. We and the owner doesn't deny the heads have been pulled off and sent to redline racing. It doesn't run like a proper HCI z06 but it doesn't run like it's stock either.

My opinion: I think it's got ported heads and valvetrain work at least. Possibly cams. Of course the owner denies it, and this is a great way to sandbag your power and build in the street scene which happens more often than not
