    • 9's accomplished - TPG Tuning runs 9.9@143 in their BMW F82 M4 setting new quickest and fastest S55 platform records

      It was just a matter of time. Congratulations to TPG Tuning and everyone involved on having the first 9 second BMW F82 M4 as well as the first 9 second S55 pass. This is overall the quickest and fastest F82 M4, F80 M3, or S55 powered BMW.


      Just a couple of weeks ago TPG Tuning pulled a 10.06 @ 139.41. Before that, they ran a 140.42 trap speed being the first to crack the 14X.XX barrier. Now they topped both of those accomplishments:


      The mod list once again:

      TPG Tuning built
      Pure Turbos
      Fuel-It port injection
      Dodson Motorsports DCT upgrade
      Sheptrans
      Burger Motorsports
      HC Performance - Halim Cazimi
      Driveshaft Shop
      Evolution of Speed
      Fathouse Fabrications
      P&R Engine

      Where do we go from here? We'll have to wait and see. However, no reason to stop now.

        Awesome feat! Congrats to all involved! Can we get a break down of all weight reduction on the car, what fuel was used, and who tuned it just for curiousity sake?

        Congratulations!! As Mad as I am they beat us to the 9s, You gotta appreciate the time and effort this guys put it this car to get it where is at, all my respect to this stilled crew!!! 9s is not an easy achievement..��������....

        Thank you everyone I greatly appreciate the kind words. This has been quite the uphill battle but was worth every minute for that magical pass.
        As far as the setup it is on E85 and straight methanol. The car is flash Tuned by Halim at HC Performance while utilizing a JB4 and a custom firmware from Terry to eliminate the boost safety.

        This is a 35psi target. The boost safety was removed so it didn't pull back boost on spikes between shifts and kill a good pass.

        The boost safety exists I guess for guys on the stock motor or turbos to not push things too far?

        The max boost safety is 36 psi, which is basically the limit of the 3.5 map sensor most of these guys run. Essentially they were targeting 35 psi or just under the max limit, on shifts you typically see a boost spike on auto or DCT cars. The JB has a safety that if it sees X more than boost safety for X time, it kicks you into map 4, basically low boost, hence it would ruin the run. He wrote them firmware to avoid this issue targeting so close to the max boost limit.
