    • Oh baby - Pure Turbos Stage 2 upgraded W212 E63 AMG M157 4Matic makes 840 horsepower at all four wheels

Talk about entering the M157 scene with a splash! Pure Turbos is not messing around. The proof is in the results right here on a W212 E63 AMG. This is a 4Matic all wheel drive car as it is the facelifted version.

In the 26 to 27 psi range of boost output is 840 horsepower. This is with custom ECU dyno tuning from Precision Tuning.

Precision did not push the turbos as far as they could to preserve the driveline. What would these turbos make when pushed with an upgraded transmission? Good question.

Oh, and how about the pricing? $5995 plus core exchange. That is the best turbo upgrade value in the M157 world right now.

As a reminder, before the turbo upgrade and with bolt ons this E63 ran 10.6 @ 133. That was at 670 all wheel horsepower. What will it do now? We can't wait to find out.

This will shake up the market a bit.....$6K for stage 2 turbos is nearly 1/2 the cost of the big name MBZ tuner turbos e.g. Renntech, Weistec, AMS, etc.

Hopefully they will drop the price further as they recoup their R&D investment..

        S63Tu stage 1 turbos = $2,750 (820whp on their website)
        S63Tu stage 2 turbos = $4,000? (Not listed so just a guess....)

What kind of HP/TQ can the stock drivetrain take? What's the weak link? I do love these cars.....

I have to agree. $6k and the prices on the cars are dropping.

An ML63 would be fun with these.

It's a good question. With this kind of power and torque you can not launch the car and expect it to last.

At 750+ wtq you probably need to start looking into upgrades if you are going to drive it hard. This is making more than that.

-Videos coming soon, Its been a little crazy after the holidays and we didnt realize none of the videos we took were complete, but next time car goes on dyno ill make sure to get some and some solid acceleration/track/in and out cool videos.

        - Good point... Pricing... Considering that this OEM turbos are so expensive to purchase from Manufacture, the fact Pure keeps cost so low compared to other companies is a big plus. If it didnt requiered to keep turbos out of a vehicle for so long , as development for an upgraded version requieres, you could possibly get away with borrowing a Donor's car turbos for couple days, Instead of going out your way and dropping 6-10k for new stock turbos just to be able to do the necessary research on them without having to rush the process, plus all the R&D involved in coming up with a product that delivers good results as Pure does, without sacrificing the attractiveness of a low Priced Product Isa beautiful thing.

        - How much drivetrain can take is no one guess, We take all the safe procedures possible to keep them together but at this levels of power only time will tell, Sucks to be first sometimes.

There are transmission upgrade options available so it's not a huge deal. It can be addressed.

My question is @kbaldi29 how is this being fueled and how much more headroom is there?

Is the SL63 much lighter than the E63? I assume the hardtop convertible hardware isn't helping...

With the previous generation, the SL63 was heavier than the E63.

With the R231 SL the SL63 is about 200 pounds lighter than the RWD E63 and almost 500 pounds lighter than the 4Matic.

Wow... didn't realize it was so much lighter than the 4Matic. That will make a difference in the 1/4. If you can put the power down that is.

We need someone to try this asap.

They really dropped the weight with the R231 compared to the R230.
