    • Rocket - The 2016 McLaren 675LT runs 10.5@139 in the 1/4 mile and weighs under 3000 pounds

Insane numbers here from the new McLaren 675LT. McLaren's own figures stated 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and a 1/4 mile sprint of 10.4 seconds at 142 miles per hour would be possible. MotorTrend's testing shows those numbers are pretty much right on.

MotorTrend got to 60 in 3.0 seconds and through the 1/4 mile in 10.5 @ 139. So, slightly slower than what McLaren claims but in the hands of owners who actually launch on a dragstrip we expect the numbers to line up.

Regardless, this is a stock car capable of 140 in the 1/4 mile. That is insane.

It hardly is one dimensional either. The light weight of 2993 pounds helps tremendously on the track. This is a very nimble car pulling 1.09g on the skidpad and lapping Willow Springs in 1:24.29.

Here is how that stacks up to other Willow Springs laptimes driven by Randy Pobst:

      Porsche 918 Spyder: 1:23.54
      McLaren 675LT: 1:24.29
      C7 Z06: 1:25:00
      Lamborghini Aventador SV: 1:25.41
      GTR Nismo: 1:25:70
      Porsche 991 GT3: 1:27.22

So, it's pretty spectacular. A Viper ACR has gone 1:21.24 on the track but that was not in the hands of Pobst.

The Ferrari 488GTB will need a special edition to compete with the 675LT. A new Stradale, Scuderia, or Speciale if you will because the 675LT is a beast.
