Maximum PSI's factory DME tuned E36 M3 ends up at 1041 wheel horsepower and runs a 9.1@163 1/4 mile
Holy. Poop. 9.1@163 in the 1/4 mile? Stock DME tuning? 1041 wheel horsepower? Maximum PSI already impressed the heck out of BimmerBoost with their 1008 wheel horsepower dyno graph
that was good for a new record on stock DME tuned S52/M52 inline-6 motors. With a change to C85 fuel (VP racing E85) Nick G of Technique Tuning adjusted the tune to hit a peak of 1041 horsepower at the wheels on a Dynojet in SAE correction.
This is not just some dyno queen either. Maximum PSI took the car to the strip and ran a mind blowing 9.1@163 being just short of the first fully street legal BMW in the 8's. Yes, a BMW has run 8's but that car which managed a 8.97@153 has a powerglide transmission
. This car still has the factory manual transmission although obviously with upgraded components.
8's will come but enjoy the video and dyno graph below. The bar has been raised.
