    Quickest/fastest 6-speed manual 2.0 TSI? APR tuned Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 TSI goes 10.8 @ 128 in the 1/4 mile

There have been some 10 second DSG 2.0 motors tuned by APR but to see a front wheel drive 6-speed manual do it is quite impressive. This Jetta went 10.817 @ 128.15 in the 1/4 mile which is flat out impressive. This Jetta belongs to a VWBoost member by the name of pattrick02. The last time we saw the car in action it showed an output of 554 wheel horsepower and ran 10.9 @ 129.83 in the 1/4 mile.

It looks like the setup is pretty much the same but he managed to row the gears a little better and get a new quickest 6-speed manual time out of the car. The full mod list is not disclosed but he has a big turbocharger on there, USP Motorsports modified high pressure and low pressure fuel system, and APR Tuning.

    Much respect @pattrick02, great work.

Thanks a bunch @Sticky! I appreciate it. Pretty much same setup. I was having some misfire issues, so turned the boost down a few psi. Only difference now is a new clutch. It was really humid and not to mention hot out. Hopefully with better weather and more seat time I will see a 10.7 or 10.6..

You're a great driver Patrick. What gas and psi etc did you use for this run?

It was the spark plugs. It's been about a year since the car has been on race gas. the plugs were use to pump gas, and after all the miles on pump gas, it didn't react well with the race gas. the extra humid weather didn' help much with anything either. I have to get new plugs in and it should be fine. I had to turn boost down a bit and change to the map with lower timing.

This is flat out awesome for the VW community, and flat out embarrassing for the N54 community. A FWD 4 cylinder running 10 sec 1/4 mile times, yet we have similar WHP levels, RWD, and for some reason we can seem to get there. We are ordering an LSD / line lock for the shop car in the next week and will be dedicating some time to 1/4 times in the next few months, lets hope the N54 can start showing some good times.

Ahhhh, yea I keep forgetting the gearing is different. That's why you're doing much better than the GTI's you're one less gear to row into.

I believe they'll hit 5th, but most of the 6MT in the US are not making the power that Pat is making in the GLI so tough comparison too. I mean U20-T is making some big power in in GTI, but he hasn't ran it in the quarter yet....he also doesn't have stock GTI gearing either.

I've been waiting for JR to hit the track. Hopefully he will soon. And yeah, he changed his gearing to same as mine.
