Awesome car, true race car through and through. One of my favorites in their all time lineup, congrats man! Definitely want to see a video, any plans on exhaust work? I know they sound pretty good stock but...

Oh, and have you thought of coming through Colorado on I70? Beautiful drive through the Rocky Mountains if you time the weather right. Especially Glenwood Canyon and the Eisenhower tunnel, etc.

    Good luck on your drive.

Thank you! Same. This is my favorite modern Ferrari. I would take it over a 458 all else being equal. Which it is not. 458s about 75k more still. Edit - exhaust. Yes! But brake pads and rollbar are top pri. Sounds gnarly even stock. Over 100 db at wot. Violates most posted track rules.

Are you trailering it, or actually going to drive it? If you are trailering it, no big deal, take the most direct route. But if you are going to drive, I70 through the Rockies is pretty tough to pass up (again - assuming the weather holds - this is a tough time of year - you could have 60s and sunny or 20s and a blizzard).

Driven scuds twice at the track too. Never on the street ha. Pretty funny. If I get home with the front bumper and rear diffuser in tact, I am doing a big rock and roll high kick. First owner was crazy and polished and wrapped entire car. Yes entire car.

Ha! Still might consider stopping by a Home Depot and getting a bunch of blue painters tape. A little extra protection never hurt (there is a joke in there somewhere Click here to enlarge ).

Haha. I hate blue tape. My m3 is all chipped up. Doesn't bother me. Only issue w the scud is the stripe. That would be a $#@! to repaint.

It's an absolutely spectacular car. I need a Ferrari at some point in my life. I'd like for it to be sooner rather than later.

    Thanks fellas!

Ferrari's are available from 25k and up (less even - get a PPI!!!). It just depends what kind of experience you want. : )

360s are becoming super affordable. However, they are belt driven which is a bit of a pain. 430s are much more robust from what I understand - chain driven motors...Even the 430s are still depreciating, but most 100k plus I believe. You can get into a damn nice 360 for 60s...355s are in the 50s. You just have to go in eyes open. Any "old" car will have issues.

Although the opinion may not be popular with Enzo himself, I hope everyone can get to experience them. They are not perfect by any means - no car is; but there is something very special about them - and certain models in particular.

This particular Scud, close to perfect from what I understand, has lost almost half its value since new! They appear to have stabilized now - the Scuderias that is...within reason - they still may slide more!

Sticky - you could absolutely be in this car for what you have into your M3 - I believe knowing what I have spent and you have done a ton more. This is fun to go fast in straight (shifts are brutal), but once you drive it at a race track, you will be addicted.

I think I may actually be heading south and crossing via rt-66. Looks like I'm 1-2 weeks too early on the weather in the rockies. I might get 65 and beautiful or 25 and snow. The latter would be deadly and the amount of crap they drop on those roads is nuts. Sucks, but I think this might be the only way to avoid stress with the actual route.

Not a hard guess : ) As we've discussed, I do love Fchat and value the information and a lot of friends I've made over there. But there is a very high bar for decorum over there. Already been banned twice haha...

With the variable weather in the rockies, and my wife cool with me taking a week, it looks like my route will be:

    CA -> NV -> NM -> OK -> MO -> PA

    Mainly rte 66.

Flying out tomorrow and will start the journey on Wednesday. Wish me luck!
