    Boost, Race Gas and Horse-Power

I have a private road near my house where I can do some 3rd gear pulls 30 mph up to about 100 mph where I run out of road.

I am regularly hitting and holding 1.3 bars with 93 octane + some MS 109, or 1.2 bars (sometimes 1.3 spikes) with 93 octane.

I am sure I only have K24 stock (X50) turbos which hold 1.2 bars okay... would the 1.3 bar just be due to the higher octane and would that translate to a higher overall power or is the "extra-boost" just sucking hot air and not really adding to the AWP.

I do have a a full AWE Race Exhaust for a GT2 and EVOMS vflow intake. Will a tune and race exhaust be enough to get the extra .1 bar

I have read a few threads on this and was wondering what the experts in our BMW world think.

(I have bought a durametric set up which I will use to test the car next week

Is it just the Porsche in-dash gauge? If so it's not the most accurate anyway.

I highly doubt your turbos are any different than OEM.

Not sure, my dash boost gauge only goes to 1.2 bar, and its not really that accurate. And maybe the free flowing exhaust and or throttle closures creates boost spikes that after some filtering to slow speed of change down is presented with a slight lag in the dash, I dunno use Durametric or Cobb to logg (if you dont already do this and then I have no clue where you are getting the extra boost from).

Sorry, been very sick for a few days, thought I was having a coronary... anyway, I have ordered the Durametric but coming from OREGON to Long Island takes over a week apparently.

Will post data when I have time in a few weeks as am stuck in the city for a bit and when I am feeling healthy

I have heard of the cars by fabspeed with their kit on stock turbos were hitting over 600/600 crank on 93+ octane, ie with Race exhaust (like mine with high flow cats), headers, v flow or other intake

    My mods are

    AWE GT2 exhaust
    GIAC Tune
    AWE GT2 Carbon Fibre Wing
    EVOMS v flow intake
    BBS Lightweight forged wheels

I bought a new SONY mini-cam and did a few quick videos from the dash, will see if I can do one of the tacho/speedo next time I am out there.

This is from the FABSPEED website, 600 crank on stock K24's must near be 1.4 bars ? Aggressive tune ?

Wish you would have cut the music but the car moves nicely.

Fabspeed's stuff is really nice btw especially considering the value.
