Trans is coming out too, as it was popin out of 5th gear. They have a plan for that also;-)

Dan knows his $#@!, no question. Is that the F1 procharged car?

Lots of custom hardware on there and he did a VERY nice job designing it.

EVOMS fans take note, that is SKILL.

Looks like he worked with Mihovetz on the build, can't go wrong there either, easily the best engine builder in CA and one of the best in the world.

Of course it's skill. Just like Evoms recent 1300 awhp build but this is a 5.4l V-8. Much easier to get bigger power based on your logic.

A few items differ from this and the Evoms build at this time.

    1. Producing power on the dyno and and mph on the track are completely different! Guess which one is harder to do?
    2. Run after run for an entire weekend running consistent 250+ mph without a failure. Not to mention the crappy 90 degree weather.
    3. One is hitting 270 while the other is hoping for 250.
    4. The Ford GT currently holds the mile record at 263, meaning they are the first to go that fast regardless of application(choice of car). And they are still going faster!

Make no mistake the Evoms is a great build and difficult to do. I just have yet to see Evoms do something that has not been done before. If they do hit their 250 goal this will change. However right now the Ford GT and UGR are on a different level.

Very cool, I intend to run the mile at some point. The part that gets me is this, how the hell do they find tires that are goof for 270+? What rubber is it they are using?

Not sure the relevance here. They use the dyno for tuning.

It's an awesome build, no doubt about it.

Different class cars, engines. Not an apples to apples comparison.

That is true, no disagreement there.

Again, big V8s, V10s with twin turbos. Not an apples to apples comparison

Its harder to hit your goals under racing load than it is in a dyno room.
As for the different cars, that irrelevant. The two cars I have mentioned lead the way for their perspective manufacturer. Evoms Porsche will join them if they do indeed hit 250+. As of now Evoms has done nothing to separate itself from the other high horsepower Porsche builds. Hopefully this changes at Texas.

I think Evoms has already proven themselves. That Heffner GT hit 254 with 1400 whp. It's a 5.4L twin turbo V8. Evoms car is a 4.0L stroker 6 cyl Boxer getting over 1300 awhp (not even full boost). What is more impressive? Evoms build, imho.

The EVOMS build is quite impressive, as is the Heffner car. They are both really great.

The Heffner Gt went 263. Im not sure what the power level was at that time.

As I have stated before once the Evoms Porsche hits 250 the project is complete. Im starting to hear an echo.
Until then its way too early to pass judgment. Evoms did not set out to build just another powerful Porsche. They set out to be the fastest Porsche. If they hit 250, they will be the fastest Porsche which is very significant and impressive! Until then this build is like any other 1k hp Porsche build in my eyes.

Please tell me what other P-car has delivered +1300 awhp???? Why do guys continue to diminish their accomplishments?? Breaking 250 requires near perfect conditions. Today they had a 20 mph headwind. That's out of their control.

Exactly what I have been saying for the last 3 or 4 days! That is, its harder to produce results on track than it is in the dyno room!
It also makes the 258, 266, 271mph runs in 90 degree heat all the more impressive....

1k + wheel horsepower build up from oem twin turbo Porsche's are nothing new. When Evoms becomes the fastest Porsche I will give credit where it is due. Until then its just another high horsepower tt build. We have seen more than a few the last few years.

Just for your information, Evoms built and tuned joetwint's 996tt. Click here to enlarge

Evoms car just ran a 222 mph shakedown in winds gusting up to 40 mph.

I've never disagreed with that statement. Again, no replacement for displacement. If Evoms had that car, who's to say they couldn't make it run 280-300. The argument works both ways. The Ford GT has a better COD and frontal area as well which makes a HUGE difference at those speeds. Wind resistance goes to the square of the speed. Like I said, you need to compare apples to apples.

    You're aware that 4 of those 6 cars listed are EVOMS...? Only Bello's 964 and Art's 996 (BBI) aren't.

Thanks for that information. I did not know this.

Yes Evoms is a good builder! Yes they have built the Porsche TT before! So why is the 1300hp one special? When there current build gets the fastest Porsche record, Props!
Again, Porsche's of this nature have been built by other tuners. Other Porsche models(964, 993, 996, 997) have been built to this level. There is absolutely nothing special about the current build yet!

I will sign off on this topic until Evoms takes the title of fastest Porsche. Then I shall offer congratulations!
