My LNF came with forged pistons and rods from factory, ever wonder why I could have gone 600whp with a stock motor? Motors are made for boost, will be better built when wanting to boost more. That's my .02 for the day.

If the new Z06 is priced under $100k why would anyone not get this car if shopping for a car under $100k LOL Screw the new M3 .

Have you seen one yet? It's lightyears ahead of the C6 man, inside and out.

The Stingray is already putting out over 700 with boost so um yeah. Just because a car is naturally aspirated doesn't mean it doesn't have strong internals. The N54 has cast pieces so your point doesn't make any sense.

They already are pushing the Stingray double its HP so once again, your point does not make any sense.

The LT4 going in the Z06 is just an LT1 with lower compression internals and a blower. Once again, your point does not make sense.

Because some people want something with more daily usability, refinement, and that is more technologically advanced? You can't seat four people with luggage in a Z06 last I checked.

Additionally, the Z06 will be more expensive.

    Different cars for different segments.

IMO it'll be very interesting to see how the F3x M4 (coupe) stacks up the C7 Vette & next-gen Mustang and C-Class AMG. And THEN how the Z06, 991 Turbo, next-gen GTR.

Lots of quality competition between the Domestic & Imports on the horizon.

If you still plan on getting an automatic C7. I would hold off until the second year run, the 8-speed that will be an option in the Z06 will be going in the stingray. Replacing the current 6-speed auto. The 8L90 will have a torque capacity of 1000 Nm or 737 lb-ft of torque. It was designed specifically for rear wheel drive, better off the line acceleration with shorter gear ratio. It will have 3 speed sensors for faster shift response.

It looks even better in person. I sat in one with a brown full leather interior. It is lightyears better inside, every was stitched leather and the seats were top shelf.

After seeing the new options for the 2015 I'm definitely holding off.

737 pound-feet of torque capability out of the box? Damn.

Read this today in the Z06 press release.

In fact, the 8L90's controller analyzes and executes commands 160 times per second, and wide-open-throttle upshifts are executed up to eight-hundredths of a second quicker than those of the dual-clutch transmission offered in the Porsche 911.

I can't believe it but that 8-speed auto actually sounds like a great option.
