Need some advice, basically would like to upgrade my oil. this is going on a n54 fbo/no meth around 17 psi on 93/94 octane may switch to E85 for the summer.

just like technology and everything else oil keeps getting more advance just want to make sure im keeping up with every body else.

    Don't neglect the T6 Rotella.

Boosted Euros and the T6 are a helluva pair.

We run the 5w30 liqui-moly for our cars at the shop, and their 10-60 for our M cars/race cars.

We think it's great stuff. No, it's not cheap- but it's good. Very good.

specifically we run this: (of course we buy it in bulk, so it wont be in 1 litre cans lol)

so your running castrol 0w -30 fbo/w meth and e85 and its holding up good.. ok
how often do you change your oil (every 2500 miles 3500 miles )

here in Prescott Arizona we get all the weathers. In the summer it reaches in the hundreds and in winter as low 15 degrees. im just looking for as much protection as i can get out of my oil.

yes. I change my oil roughly every 5-6k miles. My car is always ready to run. Everyone around here thinks i have a factory freak or a good one as far as n54s go lol. Weather conditions in Maryland have been 60s one week, single digits the next lol. we have been getting wacky weather lately.

My proposal would be Mobil 1 New Life 0w40. Fulfills either LL1 or 4 specs.

    Changing it all 8-10.000 miles.

You all will never know, unless you get an oil analysis done. Get one done and REALLY see where you stand.

2nd this, great price run it in all my cars. Also from my experience lets the engine idle smoother in the n54.
