Very nice. Really shows what a good wheel / tire setup can do. Do you have an LSD?

Exactly. Not sure why people think the LSD is such a huge drag strip benefit when it's mostly a roadcourse benefit when the inside and outside wheels are rotating at different speeds.

    Yes.

The reason is one idiot says something on e90 then other idiots who don't know what they are talking about jump on that bandwagon and repeat it like a parrot. Lmfao.

LSD usually comes with several options to change gearing yes ?

Say a 3.15 LSD will get better 0-60 times than a 4.10 LSD

Not sure what you're asking here as a limited slip differential has a set final drive like any diff. Before someone wants to be a smartass here yes I'm aware of diff setups with two final drive ratios.

A 3.15 is longer than a 4.10 so the general rule would be the shorter gear ratio would get you the better 0-60 but that also depends on things like redline and the actual gearing of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. gears.

Generally you will see more torque with a shorter final drive up until the point you have to shift.

Sticky we agree to agree... my point was yes if one tinkers with the LSD gear ratios on say an E46 then we will see different drag times, but your earlier point about what an LSD "REALLY DOES" is absolutely cogent

Used to give me a headache. Then I just stopped all together.

It's one of those things where one guy posts a ton and then people are afraid to challenge the topic because a bunch of nutswingers come in. Maybe if they had something other than post count or biased moderators? Maybe a way to anonymously evaluate post quality? Oh wait.

I have had 1.6 60's and can average 1.7's. I am just to scared to try and launch harder. I still have yet to install the DSS drive shaft I got from you, I have been to lazy but going to do soon.

No, not for track only use but I dd with my nt05s without any squirm or negative road characteristics ... R888s ultimately became my new dd tire because they last a bit longer and I have dedicated drag set now with Hoosier radials I got with the k1s..

but when Hoosiers go I'll get nt05r's again ...

I also put my buddy with a 515whp z06 onto the nt05rs I think in 315s and he is beyond satisfied with them over the craptastic oem tires are his c6 z06...
