Tuned Porsche 997 Turbo PDK versus stock Porsche 991 Turbo S

Interesting race here from a roll showing a tuned 997 Turbo with PDK versus a stock 991 Turbo S. The 991 Turbo S is quite quick in stock form capable of mid 10's in the 1/4 mile out of the box at roughly the ~130 trap speed range and also putting down 486 horsepower to the wheels. A tuned 997 Turbo should have more a bit more power at the wheels and on paper should be capable of edging a completely stock 991 Turbo S from a roll.

The video below shows differently though as the 991 Turbo S is actually able to ultimately pull up top. Quite impressive for a stock car. What explains this? The lighter weight of the 991 chassis is definitely a factor. Additionally, it would appear at least in this video that the tune on the 997 Turbo is not the strongest. It is said to have a tune from Speed-Concept that puts it in the 565 horsepower range and the 991 Turbo S is rated at 560 stock.

Once the 991 Turbos get tuned it looks like they will be stronger than their 997 counterparts at least in tune only guise.

That was unexpected! Especially, since a tuned car at the same power usually has the advantage. Like it was said above, the weight of the S and the tune of the 997 have to be the causes for this outcome. What does the turbo S dyno at stock? Sticky if u don't stay with BMW in the future this could possibly be a new monster that can be in the garage!!

Was there a passenger in the Turbo S as well? A passenger alone can make a 1-2 car difference from my experience.
