APR firing a shot at GIAC - APR Stage 2+ K04 Leon Cupra versus GIAC Extreme GTX3071 GTI
It was interesting to see APR taking a public shot at GIAC referencing the race video you will see below of an APR Stage 2+ K04 equipped car versus a GIAC tuned GTI with the Extreme file and a GTX3071 turbocharger upgraded GTI. The GIAC Extreme file on the K04 turbocharger hits an incredible 27.5 psi of boost so their "Extreme" files are some of their most aggressive tunes available. So why does the GTI lose to the Cupra?
Well, this is essentially an exterior drag view with no data. The GTI has a poor launch but appears to start reeling the Cupra in. The GTX3071 turbocharger should produce more power than the K04 turbocharger so that is exactly what should happen up top. Additionally, there is no interior view or supplemental data.
It is kind of odd to see APR publicly brag like this at the expense of a direct competitor when we all know which setup will make more power and where there is no data at all to go off.
The VW tuning scene is a bit of warzone though, video below.

Too many variables. That gtx30 has to be making damn near 200whp and at a minimum 130whp more than the cupra.
the VW tuner scene is chock full of tuners posting videos of their stage 1/2/ko4 cars beating a competitors stage 1/2/ko4. Videos taken at night where you can only judge who is winning based on which tail lights appear to be dimmer due to them being slightly further away.
