    335xi 12.1

    DA: 2000ft
    Temp: 78F
    Fuel: 50% 100 octane race gas / 50% E85
shifted at around 5.5k on my two 1st gear launches (should have reved out higher)

I had a huge issue launching in 2nd. I would get wheel spin and then it would cut off power and then it said I was in 2nd but it really shifted to 3rd.

I have a video if this happening, can anyone offer a suggestion?

On the way home I floored it merging onto the highway, wheel spin then this symbol and car wouldn't move: (Yellow Light)

If the trans slips it can double shift. For an Xi, I expect 1st gear launches would be preferred.

Eff 1st gear, launch in 2nd and rev it as high as you can go thru max

Use first gear to launch. Second gear starts usually ended in a slower time for me.

Well I based my 2nd gear launch strategy off of this: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...2#post10862522

I just wanted to get the best time I could. It was very weird because my trans doesn't slip my wheels spin and then it starts being goofy.

Next time I plan on letting 1st hit rev limiter though. Since I did 1.7 with only JB4 and DCI.

Nice time.. I cut 1.7 - 1.8 60ft's all day long launching in first..

On a 6AT XI launching in 2nd gear is not going to get you the best time and will only kill the trans IMO..

Here is a run I did without juice:

I want to thank Terry@BMS for helping me with so many emails, also TrickCruiser for helping me.

I want to go back Friday and try for 11s, does anyone have an opinion on good fuel options?

I want to try 2:1 ratio of e85 to 100 octane (ex. 10 gal e85 to 5 gal 100 octane), or would it be better to just stay with 1:1?

Nice runs. You'll get the 11's no problem with some better DA.

    I recently hit a 1.83 60ft using a 2nd gear launch on a 6AT non-xi on street tires.

What RPM did you launch at? I've been struggling to get under 2 on the 60ft.

You've got the LPFP upgrade in your sig, so just make sure you're running the correct BMS Flash/JB4 settings and data log you're fuel trims

Do you shift your car manually or ride out the gear?
