VW's 2.0 turbo motor simply continues to impress. An email@example.com with a GT30 turbo upgrade in a four door MKVI GTI? That's pretty damn impressive and it also apparently is the quickest and fastest time achieved with this turbo on the GTI. This is not a dual clutch transmission car either. Simply old school 6-speed manual with some nice rowing from the owner. The car pulls quite hard and runs consistent passes showing solid tuning and good driving.
This GTI is on the verge of 10's without all wheel drive or a dual clutch tranny. Just look at how it compares to the Golf R posted recently running mid 11's with the benefit of all wheel drive and the quicker shifting DSG.
Very consistent performance and excellent tuning from GIAC. Check out the runs in the video below.

Ah Sammy's car. He also has a trap record of 130.xx. Car was mean!
however a few days after this run he sold the car, moving to a mk6 golf r with DSG (he is Australian). Given what he did with the GTI, everyone is excited to see what he may do with the R. We are all hoping for a gtx30/35 or equivalent build.
GIAC is cleaning up the TSI world. Stock turbo, modified stock turbo, ko4, overall pump gas, and gt3071 records. They are working with a shop in Isreal to tune a few cars running the CTS kits using gtx3071, they are currently working on a tune for w/m+108oct, keep in mind they have upgraded HPFP, so expect to see some insane numbers before the year ends. Supposedly one of the said GTX3071 pulled a c63 amg that was tuned
one HUGE thing to note is that the GTI and GLI have different gearing. The GTI is more aggressive. Without a doubt if this had GLI gearing it would run 10s, mainly because 3rd goes to 105 and 4th would bring him past 135mph.

APR still holds the overall trap record with patrickGLI's run. However, they are pretty much straight OTS tuners. Whereas Unitronic and GIAC will work to custom tune with you. Sort of like how PTF e-tunes. Get a base tune. Run logs, send logs, get a new flash etc. in fact Unitronic recently released "uniconnect" that is very similar to COBB. It's a device that goes to the OBDII port that will datalog and flash. Also does DSG flashes and has it's own software (YOU cannot edit the tunes, but UNI can send new ones to you this way) also very affordable.

They announced it at Waterfest (I think it was 7/20, not 100% sure as I didn't bother to go) and they released it 8/1. Along with some hardware. They're pretty cool people, may want to reach out to them to get some info if you can't gather it up from the web. I'm on my iPhone, otherwise I'd copy/paste their postings from golfmk6

holy $#@! that's badass i a FWD car! and not a huge turbo either. wow. very nice. I'm surprised at the ET not so much the trap spd.

what's the HP/TQ record for the 2.0 TSI with stock block, and any links to build? I'm looking for a new platform and it won't be a mitsubishi. I'd like to do something different than an N54 but it's hard to argue with the HP/$$ ratio for that platform.2011 335is DCT, JB4 + MHD BEF, stage 2 LPFP, e50 + 50/50 meth, FBO, MT ET Streets when needed
