Porsche 991 turbo photographed completely undisguised - Early pictures of the new 2014 991 Turbo

Well here is an early gift, the upcoming 2014 Porsche 991 Turbo captured completely undisguised with no camouflaging body pieces. The car is not set to officially debut until the Frankfurt Auto show in September of this year but the car looks completely production ready here. Porsche is likely just waiting for the next big show for the official debut and wants to do it on their home turf in Germany considering what an important model this is.

The 991 GT3 already debuted at Geneva this year and Porsche wanted to split the two cars up for maximum exposure. The 991 Turbo in the photos has center locking wheels just like the 991 GT3. If the new turbo is anything like the new GT3 it will be lighter while having more power. A 3.8 liter direct injected motor sharing similarities with the GT3 as it will be built on the same production line will be incorporated.

Horsepower in the 530-550 range out of the 3.8 liter should be standard being sent to all four wheels by a 7-speed PDK transmission. Will the 991 Turbo lose the manual option like the 991 GT3 did? Unlikely as this is a higher volume car without the hardcore focus of the GT3.

Enjoy the spyphotos, more info should be coming soon and it just seems like Porsche will leak this car early themselves since September is so far away.

Notice one side has a split intake and the other is open. I think Porsche hasn't made their mind up yet on which one to use.

The air intakes are identical, none of them are completely split, it looks like some groove made probably for better air flow.
The front lower lights looks odd and photoshopped into the pic?

I think the lower lights and the side vents are still camoflauged.

Don't look identical to me, maybe just the angle?

If the bulge in between the rear reflector and tail light was less pronounced the rear end would be perfect. sort that out, the side vents, and the lower front lights and it would look damn near perfect.
