FRPP blower means its dealer installed when the car is new and can be FINANCED with the purchase. Plus a warranty... Thats kick ass fo sho

I agree the GT500 would be a perfect DD around town and on the fwy, esp in short blasts with that blower. The GT500 has a measly redline although I did read this interesting bit on ford's website: "Additionally, the redline is held at 6,250 rpm continuously, but allows for an over-rev to 7,000 rpm for eight seconds to extend the time to shift so that acceleration is higher and 0-60 mph and quarter-mile times can be faster." ...? The boss 302 7500rpm redline is so appealing, even some videos of people revving out to 8250rpm! I'm sure you high revving M3 folks know what I mean!

If you could mod the GT500 to rev like that it'd be no contest over the 5.0 and boss, maybe after a few suspension upgrades

Yes but the GT500 motor still is lower compression and intended for boost. And the GT500 looks cooler IMO but sure you can add a blower to the Coyote from the factory if you want.

who cares what the GT500 redlines at? Does that really mean anything?
Some people live long, meaningful lives.

Other people eat shit and die.

I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.

With that level of power I suspect no... Since no matter what the redline is, it's getting there rather swiftly LOL

Should also look at Camaro 1LE and strap a blower to that

I'd personally pick the GT500, but I am a sucker for boosted engines.

I'd take the Boss all day, every day. More power is nice for sure, but in the end it's the handling which really makes the drive enjoyable.

I own a 5.0 and if price is an issue the 5.0 is the way to go IMO. You can get a boss that has stronger Interals and $#@!ty short 3.73 gearing if that is your thing. The boss will obvious handle better so if you are a track junkie that's the way to go. If you want spend 60k and be fast get the gt500. If you want to be a sleeper go with the 5.0 and a 5k Paxton blower kit. Low boost will get you right around 600whp on pump gas. That is my plan anyway. Which will blow away a stock gt500 and make the boss seem broken. All I have is a tune and exhaust in this video. Right around 400-410 whp and its no slouch. As it traps 117ish the way it sits.

That 5.0 with the Paxton blower is badass! Nothing needs to be done to the motor to handle that? Very impressive to say the least.

Nothing if you want to keep it under 700. That blower is good for 1000 plus. Most tell u to keep the stock motor under 700 above that it get risky and you might blow a piston or crack a rod.

Definitely. All M3 owners are rushing to get Mustang 5.0's, especially if money is an issue.

Money is certainly not an issue, beating a car twice the price is simply satisfying. However one of the points the op mentioned was money so I have him my opinion.

Please do not compare M3's to Mustangs. That is beyond retarded... they are made for a different consumer with different needs. Mustangs are not luxury cars nor are they ever sold as such; the M3 is sold as a luxury/upscale performer. You can argue performance all day long if you want but in the end the Mustang is a mustang and the M3 is an M3. If all most people cared about was performance; then I would buy a C5 Z06, throw a supercharger on it, do basic suspension upgrades and whoop everyone's ass for around 20K. I think you should all catch on here...

    Of course it isn't.

It's also definitely way more satisfying owning a Mustang 5.0 than an M3 or any more expensive car for that matter which it might match up or exceed performance wise. Duh.

Now now, all that matters is if you can beat an M3. Especially in a straight line race. That determines superiority.

Can u name what the m3 has that the mustang doesn't to make it such a luxury car. Btw no one buys a m3 for a luxury.

Also sticky the car beats it around a track as well not just in a straight line Click here to enlarge
