    Lamborghini Urus, Lambo's SUV

This conceptcar has been shown in China at the Beijing auto show.
It has a 584hp V10, probably inhereted from the Galardo, and 4-wheel drive

Looks awesome I think, and the interior is great!! I dont see much point to it though, as you wont even be able to off road this thing. They should just make a super sedan instead (Panamera type).

Worthless, the sheer name SUV (sport utility vehicle) is a blunder in its own. There is nothing sporty about SUV's, never was never will be. I don't care how fast a 4x4 Jeep Hemi will go, or the Porsche Cayenne, or the X6M. They will all end up like this guy if you push them too hard:

    1 minute into this video:

And the name makes me think of Ursus which is this:

It's a shame. This is why i say Audi shouldn't have bought Ducati, what they do is watering down the brand and make it an ordinary manufacture.

Audi's takeover of Lambo has done wonders. The brand hasn't been better, they continue to sell more cars than ever.

The influx of cash into Ducati will only help them as well. Maybe Rossi will start winning again.

This is the problem. Selling more cars is good for them, not the people who want to enjoy a true Lamborghini/Ducati. Since Audi's takeover the magic of Lambo is gone IMHO. Look at the Lamborghini logo, it's a crazy bull which means it's built to challenge a true driver not to transport a teenager to party's.

This is exactly what is happening to M Power. They want to sell more cars and perhaps their newer cars are better suited for average people, but not for someone who thinks M's should be more hardcore.

    Agree completely with this.

Lambo would probably be dead if it wasn't for VW.

I doubt that. I would venture a guess that they would be owned by Tata and make cars as equally amazing as they do now.

Define great? Tata got them much later. When Audi took over Lambo it was in far more dire shape and the VW group has better engineers. Tata is just Indian junk sold en masse.

Easy for Tata to take over after Ford dumped so much cash in.

But would you buy it? I wouldn't. (Assuming I make $1,000,000,000 a year)

LM002 is wayyyy cooler and investment worthy.

Nobody will know what the hell an LM002 is and it will drive like an ancient truck. That's cool, don't get me wrong, but this will be the pinnacle of performance SUV's.

Jaguar makes more money for Tata than what it used to do for Ford. That doesn't mean Jaguar is watered down and making lame cars for average owners, exactly opposite. They are making great cars. New XJ for example or the new sports car, They are much better than older cars in Ford era. And Ford didn't dump cash in Jaguar, they acted very cheap regarding to Jaguar.

Piech turns almost bankrupted brands into sources of making money, but not all brands are supposed to be money makers. That's all i'm saying.

It doesn't matter, implying Tata would do a better job is retarded considering what Lambo was when VW took them over and what they are now. Not to mention Audi's expertise with the all wheel drive.

You have absolutely nothing to base your statements on and I think people would not have shown Lambo the same respect with some Indian company nobody had heard of owning them versus Audi and the VW Group.

The new Jags are great cars but there is a difference between producing a Jag after Ford started turning them around and getting a company on the brink back to competing with Ferrari, essentially, the tip top.

You are comparing VW to Tata and nobody does that here. What i'm saying is it doesn't matter who or what company is the owner, it's the money that matters whether it's VW money or Tata money. Tata doesn't have skilled engineers for Lambo? Money brings the needed engineers. The image of Indian ownership in public though is another story.

Ford was the Jag owner from 1989 to 2007. In 2007 when Ford sold Jaguar, Jag was producing the same $#@! they were producing when Ford tookover Jag in 89. Sure, Ford dumped a lot of money but the result was bad cars such as X-type. It's not right to say the reason behind Jag's success is Ford's money because if it was, at least some great progress would have been observed in Jaguar in 89-07 period, but such progress doesn't exist.

There's more to it than just plain money. You can't expect to simply succeed because you throw money at something.

Ford invested a lot of money in their production as well as dealer network. Without the facilities and dealers, what is it Tata was to build, sell, and where?

I think it's simply absurd to claim Tata could do what VW could. Why doesn't Tata have a Veyron? Seriously, it's an absurd argument.
