Ford continues to do awesome things for enthusiasts, selling classic 1967 Mustang convertible bodyshell

    How freaking cool is this?

Ford has expanded its licensed reproduction body shell offerings. The company announced professionals and enthusiasts alike would be able to purchase brand-new 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible shells earlier this year, and now the automaker has added the 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible shell to the mix, as well. Now, instead of being forced to source a shell and repair the inevitable rust, restorers can simply snap up new metal, thereby saving time and money in the process. Like the '65 Convertible, '67 Fastback and '69 Fastback, the '67 Convertible will carry a price tag of $15,995.

I'd love to get a '67 Fastback shell and turn it into a full on, track only VARA race car. I've been looking at this for a while now:

Man - throw a Roush 402R in that thing with a T56 behind it and for about $60k you would have a BAD ASS track car.

It does make me wonder how much it would cost to finish out the body. I mean, you basically need everything.

True, but for 15k you have the motor and trans and you're at 30k, then another 30k or so for suspension, finish off driveline, wheels tires, race seat, full cage, electronics leave the body raw Click here to enlarge and your good to go.

So roughly $60k on top of the body. Not cheap, but definitely badass.

or buy a drivable 67 thats rusted to hell and swap over all the basic $#@! that does work... interior, engine, suspension etc.. and you have a rust free 67 in good condition for 15k
Some people live long, meaningful lives.

Other people eat shit and die.

I'm not racist, I hate everybody equally; especially fat people.
