I was wondering the same. Probably just part of some good data acquisition equipment for Vettes. Those guys at LMR know their stuff.

147 is an 8 second trap on a car with roadcourse suspension?

Yeah...sounds like with a drag suspension it would be even faster but 147 sounds about right. Did you notice the 0-60...like 2.5 seconds LOL.

It's already hitting 135 trap stock. 12 mph gain from FBO with tune and drags, could be a possibility

I disagree. If he was trapping high 150's low 160s then yeah,or if he had some sick rear gears in it like a 5.73&he is going thru the traps in 6th gear at redline sure, but a 147 trap is a solid mid to hi 9sec car

Just to elaborate a bit on my thoughts. That 147 trap is on DR's with a decent amount of spin in the lower gears. On slicks the car has the power to trap around 150ish and with the grip should knock on the 8sec door with no more changes. The car is faster than its time/trap indicated was my point.

Cars can have trapped 147/148 and run 8.90's previously but not commonly. There's no need for any radical gearing to make it happen either, 5.73 gears (unless that was a typo) are usually found in the rock climbing extreme 4x4 world. In any case this car has lots more room left in her

If the car can lay down a 1.2 or so 60' then yeah,it may run a 8.90&the mph would be in the low 150s. My point was that the mph is not indicating an 8 sec run. Unless its a dedicated, track only drag car geared to the moon to go thru the traps in top gear at redline I still don't see this car (as it sits)being capable of laying down an 8sec pass. You would need ridiculous gearing on a 3300lb car to run an 8sec pas w only a 147mph trap. Just my opinion

I agree that there likely is more in it but 147 trap on a car with stiff suspension is not going to get you 8's.
