Ok after finding out my RB was blown a few months ago I decided to build her out for big power and have been accumilating parts and doing research ever since. I was reluctant to put that number up on the thread title as i've yet to see an RB25 hit that number. Truthfully I'm planning on going a bit higher than that but I think its a good stated goal. I'm not sure what the RB25 record is but whatever it is I want it so here we go with step 1. Heres the list of things I've got so far and while I need a few things still I feel ready to take it to the machine shop and start this thread.

    R33 RB25DET bored 0.40 and line honed
Head fully port and polished with top of combustion chamber coated

First step was to take everything to get Cryo treated and heat and slick coated. I went with a local company that does great work and have a fast turn around time. I picked everything up today and will have more pics in a few days as he took some pictures of the processes and will email them to me. Heres what I took:

Next I headed to Fuel Injector Connection for some high flowing injectors to help reach my goal. I've got some 2225cc injectors which can flow quite a bit more as the rail pressure is raised. What I like about this company is every injector is individually flow tested and matched to ensure I've got a nice even flow in each cylinder. I'm blessed to have many great shops locally and so I went today to and got to watch as they went threw and selected the perfect injectors for me and also installed a filter on them. I get back my fuel rail tomorrow with the injectors already in place and will add some pics of that tomorrow.

I finally dropped of the motor at the machine shop at the end of the day. As I said in my previous posts I have some great shops very near my house and Proline Racing Engines is certainly no exception. They have built some of the fastest drag cars around and have two of the top drivers in house along with legendary tuner Steve Petty. They also build all the TT Lambos and Ferraris for UGR. These guys are nuts!

Got my NOS kit today, my fuel rail will take a few more days as they are out of -10 male fittings. Dropped off my exhaust manifold and valve covers at procryo to have them temp and powder coated, will have pictures by the end of next week as I have to go out of town.

Trust me you don't wanna see it the way it is right now. Next week I should get my 10 point moly cage welded in and then she's off to the body and paint shop. Then she'll be ready for the lime light.

Car is a 1989 Nissan 240sx hatchback which I'm gonna get painted candy apple red inside and out. Semi aggressive body kit with carbon fiber hood and hatch. Hood will be the ricer vented hood kind(hate them but need the cooling) with billet wheels and drag radials.

Wish I could say for certain. It all depends on how quickly the respective places I'm working with finish and how my travel schedule is. Sometimes I'm out of my house literally a month at a time and that makes it hard to progress. I'd say end of this year, but certain changes could delay that. For example I'm now 90% certain I'm gonna run pure methanol and that means Moran injectors and new fuel pumps. That's just one of the changes I'm considering as the guys at proline are pretty aggressive and I keep wanting to up the goal.

It's more of a labor of love. This is my first car and when I was in high school I wanted an rb25 SO bad but alas I was broke. I always liked the RB25 because fully built they are pretty similar(or exactly the same I hope) as far as max performance as most things are the same. But the main reason I wanted a 25 was cause I couldn't even dream of buying a 26 lol. I'm 26 now and I can finally do what I've been wanting for years, the highest hp RB25 ever! The highest I've ever seen claimed on a 25 was 980whp but the shop never produced a dyno. Still I want well over 1,000+hp and low 8's. We'll see if there's a reason no one's ever done it. Btw not sure but I believe the record for the 26 is 1560? Hmmm?
